JUNE 30 – JULY 15, 2005

 

THURSDAY, JUNE 30TH= ARRIVE= 12:30 PM at DFW Airport – Lufthansa Flight #LH439 – Terminal B – Gate 29.  Enter Terminal for arriving flight= s and look for the Lufthansa Airlines Ticket Counter.  Come there and you will be directed where to go to assemble and have refreshments.  For updated flight and gate inform= ation call – 1-800-645-3880.  = CHECK-IN with your chaperone and do not leave the area!  WEAR:  Howdy T-shirt, jeans, watch, boot = socks, boots, fanny pack and navy all weather coat.  (Do you have your 10 - $1.00 bills?)  DO NOT GIVE YOUR OVERNIGHT BAG TO ANYONE!  Please be on time!  The airline has asked us to arrive early to pre-board for our flight.  Everyone will have to check-in the= ir own luggage and have a ticket – so please get there!  *Parents, be sure to see Lisa and = Mrs. Pavey to have your message to your daughter recorded.  Give your prescription medications= to Mrs. Owen and Mrs. Caldwell.  = We will pre-board the plane.  = GO THROUGH SECURITY – around 2:30 PM.  Be ready to r= emove your boots and open your bags.  Please be very polite!  BOARD and DEPART at 3:25 PM at Gate 33 for Frankfurt, Germany!  Settle in for our overnight flight= (9 hours, 45 minutes).  DIN= NER on the plane.  Yum!  Change into your navy tennis shoes= if you want.  LIGHTS OUT at 8:00 PM Texas Time.  Relax = and take a nap.  Try to get some rest.  GOOD NIGHT!  Have you tried any of your food pa= ck yet?

FRIDAY, JULY 1STGOOD MORNI= NG – in flight aro= und 6:30 AM (German Time).  BREAKFAST (you must = take a tray) on the plane.  Start pac= king up your things – check everywhere.&n= bsp; Change back into your boots.  Change your watch to German time (7 hours ahead of Texas time).  ARRIVE in Frankfurt, Germany at 8:10 AM.  Change planes.  You will need to pack up and take = all your things to the next flight.  Look for LUFTHANSA FLIGHT #LH3100.  Go to the gate and BOARD.  DEPART at 10:05 AM for Helsinki, Finland.  The flight is only 2 hours, 20 min= utes, so don’t get too comfortable!  SNACK on the plane.&n= bsp; ARRIVE at 1:25 PM in Helsinki, Finland.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'>  Get off the plane and claim your luggage.  *Be sure to check yo= ur suitcase for any damage.  Clear Finnish Customs and passport check.  Remember to stay quiet!!!  Reset your watch – you should now be 8 hours forward from Texas time.  MEET our friend and Ambassador Tours Escort – Ilse Roderick.  We will then find our bus.  BOARD the bus (see back of itinerary for who is where).  WELCOME TO = FINLAND!  We will drive to some kind of fast= -food for LUNCH then to our hotel.=   Listen as our bus driver tells us information about Helsinki and Finland.  CHECK-IN around 3:30 PM to Hotel Rivoli Ja= rdin.  Get your suitcase and your hanging= bag and go to your room.  Everyone= take a shower and relax.  F.O= .B. for at least 1 hour.  Get up b= y 5:00 PM and get dressed.  MEET in the lobby at= 5:45 PM.  DINNER at 6:15 PM.  After dinner we will have an activ= ity planned by Ilse and a walking tour around our hotel.  Return to hotel by 9:15 PM.  Go to your rooms, prepare your clothes for tomorrow, write your card= or letter, write in your diary, and get ready for bed.  LIGHTS OUT at 9:47 PM.  Be sure to close your curtains Sun= set is at 10:50 PM and = Sunrise is at 3:57 AM.  GOOD NIGHT!  So, how do you like being where th= e sun doesn’t set?

SATURDAY, JULY 2ND<= /b>  - GOOD MORNING – <= st1:time Minute=3D"30" Hour=3D"7" w:st=3D"on">7:30 am.  Get up, get dressed and straighten= your room.  BREAKFAST=   at 8:15 AM at the hotel.  = After breakfast, go back to your room, use the restroom and get your things.  MEET in the lobby at= 9:00 AM then BOARD= the bus for our guided sightseeing tour of Helsinki.  Our tour will end at the performan= ce sight, so bring what is needed with you.&n= bsp; PERFORM around 12:00 PM at the Temppeliankio<= /st1:PlaceName> Church.  After the performance, we will fin= d a place for LUNCH around 12:30 PM.  Then time for= SHOPPING!  BOARD the bus and return to the hotel around= 3:30 PM.  Go to your room and get comfortable.  F.O.B. for 30 minutes.  Then g= et up and get dressed for the performance.  MEET in the lobby at 4:45 PM and load the bus to drive to t= he performance.  PERFORM at 6:00 PM= at St. Henry’s Cathedral Parish.  After the performance, get back on the bus and return to the hotel f= or DINNER at 8:00 PM.  After dinner, go to your rooms, take showers, write your card or let= ter, write in you diary and PACK!  = Get ready for bed.  Take your hang= ing bag to Joe and Mr. Covington to pack.  MEET at 9:30 PM for SNACKS and SHOW & TELL.  Then, return to your rooms and go = to bed.  LIGHT= S OUT at 10:37 PM.  GOOD = NIGHT!  Did you learn a word in Finnish to= day?

SUNDAY, JULY 3RDGOOD MORNING7:15 AM.  Get up, get dressed, put your suitcase outside your room.  Clean your room and check it.  Bring everything with you to break= fast.  Leave your door propped open so it= can be checked.  BREAKFAST<= span style=3D'font-weight:normal;mso-bidi-font-weight:bold;text-decoration:none; text-underline:none'> at 8:00= AM.  After breakfast, go to the restroo= m.  MEET= in the lobby to leave at 8:45 A= M.  Everyone help load the luggage on = the bus and then BOARD the bus.  ROTATE= bus seating!  LEAVE at 9:10 AM.  We will drive to the port to load the Ferry.  Anyone need Dramamine?  The bus will go with us on the Fer= ry, but we will not be able to stay on the bus.  DEPART= for Estonia at      &nbs= p; 10:55 AM.=   Enjoy exploring the Ferry – = stay with your buddie – we will be crossing the Bal= tic Sea.  There shoul= d be some shopping – YEA!!!  Girls under 13 years o= ld must be with a chaperone.  MEET for our PICNIC LUNCH at 11:= 45 AM.  After lunch, we will stay together, because we will need to go through customs and a passport check point.  WELCOME TO TALLINN, ESTONIA!  After we clear customs, we will ge= t back on our bus for a sightseeing tour of this charming medieval city.  There is so much to see and do, bu= t our time is limited!  Brief SHOPPING after the sightseeing tour.  Then MEET at 2:40 PM to prepare for our performance.  PERFORM= at 3:00 PM at the Old Tour Sq= uare Stage.  We will perform and me= et our United States Ambassador of Estonia (Mrs.) Ambassador Wos and her assistant – Karen Trimble (from Fort Worth, Texas).  After the performance there will b= e time for brief SHOPPING<= span style=3D'font-weight:normal;mso-bidi-font-weight:bold;text-decoration:none; text-underline:none'> then BOARD the bus around 4:45 PM f= or our drive to St. Petersburg.  SNACKS and DRINKS on the bus once we get out of town.  Settle in for our peaceful five ho= ur drive.  Look out the window at= the beautiful scenery.  DEV= OTIONAL on the bus.  This is a great time to catch up on your mail and diary, then sleep.=   When we get to the Russian border,= we will have to go through passport control and customs.  When you cross the border, set your watch forward 1 hour.  = ARRIVE & CHECK-IN at Hotel Russia around 9:45 PM.  Unload the bus.  Take everything inside and go to <= /span>DINNER.  After dinner, get your room key, then carry all your luggage to your room.  Take showers and get ready for bed= .  LIGHTS OUT= at 10:58 PM.  GOOD NIGHT!  So how do you like Russia = so far?

MONDAY, JULY 4TH – HAPPY BIRTHDA= Y USA!  GOOD MORNING 6:30 AM.  Get up, get dressed, straighten up your room and pull your clothes f= or today’s performances.  B= ring everything with you when you come to BREAKFAST at 7:15 AM.  After breakfast, go to the restroom.  MEET = in the lobby at 8:00 AM t= o LOAD the bus.  Rotate seating.  DEPART at 8:15 AM for our sightseeing= tour of this lovely city, formally called Leningrad.  There will be much to see, so stay= awake and have your camera ready.  W= e will see Katherine’s Sum= mer Palace this morning= .  LUNCH at a local fas= t-food restaurant and then SHOPPING!  MEET at 3:30 PM to LOAD<= /b> the bus and prepare for our performance.  SNACK on the bus and then get dressed by groups.  PERFORM at 5:00 PM at GOSPITAL NA NARO= DNAYA (a Veteran’s Home).  After = the performance, find a restroom then LOAD the bus.  SNACK & DRINK on= the bus.  Then change clothes for = the next performance.  PERFO= RM at 7:00 PM at ST. MARIA’S CHURCH.  After t= he concert, LOAD the bus to return to our hotel.  When you arrive at the hotel, take= your things to your room and return quickly for DINNER at 8:45 PM.  After dinner, go to your rooms, ta= ke showers, pack, write your card or letter, write in your diary and get ready= for bed.  Take your hanging bag to= Joe & Mr. Covington.  LI= GHTS OUT at 10:42 PM.  GOOD NIGHT!  Did you see the 4th of = July fireworks?

TUESDAY, JULY 5TH – HAPPY BIRTHDA= Y MR. COVINGTON! – GOOD MORNING 6:45 AM.=   Get up, get dressed, put your suitcase outside your room.  Take everything with you when you = come to BREAKFAST at 7:40 AM.  Leave your door propped open, so y= our room can be checked.  After br= eakfast, go to the restroom.  All help = load the luggage on the bus.  MEET in the lobby at 8:15 AM and LOAD the bus.  R= otate seating.  We will go to the fa= mous Hermitage Museum (hopefully for a private sh= owing at 9:30 AM).  LOAD the bus at 11:15 AM to drive to the airport.  ARRIVE= at the airport and CHECK-IN.&nb= sp; While waiting for our flight, we will have a SACK LUNCH at 12:15 PM.  Hopefully we will pre-board for our flight.  DEPART = at 1:45 PM – Aeroflot A= irlines – SU #842.  Flight time = is 1 hour, 45 minutes.  SNACK= on the flight.  Everyone take it!  ARRIVE in <= st1:place w:st=3D"on">Moscow at 3:30 PM.  We will claim our luggage and then= find our bus.  Be sure to check your suitcase.  BOARD= the bus for our drive to the hotel.  Listen as our bus driver tells us about the famous, busy city.  CHECK-IN to Hotel Izmailovo.  Take all of your l= uggage and go to your rooms.  Check y= our rooms and come back to the lobby for DINNER at 5:15 PM.  After dinner, go to the restroom a= nd MEET in the lobby at 6:20 PM to LOAD the bus.  Possible performance at the New Renaissance Hotel where they have the only Starbucks in Ru= ssia.  (Thanks Mr. Darbo!)  After the performance, we will hav= e a “fun activity” and then return to the hotel.  Go to your rooms, take showers, WASH CLOTHES, write your card or letter, write in your diary and get ready f= or bed.  MEET for s= nacks at 9:20 PM.  Then back to your rooms and = LIGHTS OUT at 9:56 PM.  GOOD NIGHT!  How do you like the Russian food?<= o:p>

WEDNESDAY, JULY 6TH= – HAPPY BIRTHDA= Y LEAH DOTY! – GOOD MORNING 6:30 AM.=   Get up, get dressed and straighten your room.  Bring everything with you when you= come to BREAKFAST at 7:15 AM.  LOAD the bus and = DEPART at 8:00 AM.  Rotate seating.  We must be at the US Embassy by 9:00 AM to go through securi= ty.  We will be met by Ryan Miller.  Everyone leave everything on the bus.  PERFORM at= 10:00 AM in the Winter Gard= en at the US EMBASSY OF MOSCOW for AMBASSADOR VERSHBOW and his staff.  After the performance, we will get= back on the bus and change clothes for our sightseeing tour of Moscow.  Hope you have your cameras ready!&n= bsp; LUNCH around 12:15 PM at a fast-food restaurant (hopefully).  Then continue our sightseeing tour= and then SHOPPING.  = Return to the hotel at 3:30 PM.  Go to your rooms, pack all your so= uvenirs and F.O.B. for 30 minutes.&n= bsp; Change your clothes and come to DINNER at 5:15 PM.  After dinner, go to the restroom.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'>  Then LOAD the bus by= 6:00 PM and transfer to the= MOSCOW CIRCUS.  Enjoy this famous circus!  After the Circus, ret= urn to the hotel and go to your rooms.  Take showers, finish packing, get ready for bed, write your card or letter, write in your diary and take your hanging bag to Joe and Mr. Covington.  Junior Chaperones = will bring you a SNACK.  CHAPERONES – be sure black shoes and knee socks are = in the overnight bag and sailor is easy to get to as we will not go to the hot= el before the performance tomorrow.  Also, put the tour shirt in the suitcase as homestay girls will not = have their hanging bags.  LIG= HTS OUT at 10:20 PM.  GOOD NIGHT!  Did you enjoy the Russian Dancing = Bears?

THURSDAY, JULY 7THGOOD MORNING at 6:15 AM.  Get up, get dressed and clean your room.  Put your suitcase outsi= de your door.  Bring everything w= ith you when you come to BREAKFAST at 7:00 AM.  Leave your door propped open so it can be checked.  After breakfast go to the restroom= .  Everyone help load luggage on the bus.  MEET in the lobby at 7:50 AM = and LOAD the bus.  DEPART= at 8:00 AM and drive to the air= port.  Look around as we will be leaving = Russia.  When we arrive at the airport, help unload the luggage and check the bus.  CHECK-IN and BOARD the plane for our fli= ght – Aeroflot Airline SU #101.  Enjoy your flight to Poland.  Adults and Jr. Chaperones be ready= to fill out customs forms.  Fligh= t time – 2 hours.  SNACK<= /u> on the flight.  ARRIVE in Warsaw at 9:55 AM.  Set your watch back 1 hour.  Claim your luggage and then we wil= l go through customs and passport control.  Remember to be quiet and smile a lot!  After we get finished being “checked”, we need to pull sailor dresses before the hanging ba= gs go under the bus.  MEET<= /u> our friend and tour guide – Maciej Przerwa – President of the Choral Society of LIRA – Boys Choir.=   Find our bus and LOAD everything in the bus.  Then get on the bus.  Rotate seating.  Maciej will be our tour guide as we drive through Warsaw and visit Chopin̵= 7;s Monument and the Lazienk<= /st1:PlaceName> Park.  Be ready for some group pictures.<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'>  LUNCH at 12:30 PM at a local fast-f= ood restaurant.  Then back on the = bus to drive to the Royal Castle.  We will tour the castle and then w= alk to Old Town where tour will have time to = SHOP!  MEET at 4:30 PM and LOAD the bus= .  We will go to LIRA’s “Singing Room” to see their trophies and to change clothes for = the performance.  In your compact = tote bag, bring your black shoes, knee socks, 4 Texas souvenirs and brush.  CHANGE CLOTHES by groups.  LEAVE a= t 6:00 PM for the concert.  We will attend mass at 6:30 PM and then PER= FORM at ST. ANA CHURCH in Old<= /st1:PlaceName> Town at 7:00 PM.  Hopefully the Lira Boys Choir will perform also.  After the conce= rt, change back into casual clothes.  Homestay people – give your chaperone your performing clothes.  Girls going to homes – MEET your homestay family.  Be sure you give your chaperone the family’s name and phone number.  Then go home with your family for dinner and overnight.  Rest of group – get back on = the bus to drive to our hotel.  CHECK-IN to the Hotel Arkadia around 8:30 PM.  Get your luggage and leave it in t= he lobby.  DINNER a= t 8:45 PM.  After dinner, take your things to = your rooms, then girls (and any adults that want to) MEET in the l= obby at 9:30 PM for an “adventure”.  Retu= rn to the hotel and go to your rooms.  Take showers, get ready for bed, write your card or letter, write in your diary and take hanging bags to Joe and Mr. Covington.  Adults make sack lunches for train ride.  LIGHTS OUT (homestay girls too) at 10:= 44 PM.  GOOD NIGHT!  How do you like Poland and the castle?

FRIDAY, JULY 8THGOOD MORNING = 7:30 AM.  *Homestay Girls R= 11; get up and clean up your area.  Make your bed!  Be sure to get your family’s address and take a picture of them and you with them.  Don’t forget to thank your homestay and leave you’re your family gift.  Hotel People –= get up, put your suitcase outside your door and straighten you room.  Leave your door propped open to be checked.  ALL pa= ck for the train ride.  You will not = have your suitcase!  Take everythin= g with you to BREAKFAST at 8:15 AM.  All help load= the luggage.  LOAD t= he bus and DEPART by = 9:15 AM.  We will meet the homestay girls at= 10:00 AM at the Ratusz Subw= ay Station.  Chaperones please ch= eck that they have everything.  LOAD the bus by 10:30 AM and continue our sightseeing tour of Warsaw with Maciej.  We will visit th= e Wilanow Palace, Chopin’s Museum and Zelazowa Wola (Chopin’s birthplace).=   LUNCH around 1:00 PM at a local fast-food restaurant.  After lunch we will get back on th= e bus and travel to Trebinka – the Concentration Camp.  F.O.B. for 45 minutes.  Great time to catch = up on your diary or mail!  DIN= NER (maybe) on the way back to the train station.  ARRIVE at the train station at 5:30 PM.  Everyone must help to unload the luggage and clean the bus.  Suitcases and luggage will go in a luggage car.  You can only take your overnight b= ag on the train.  (Hope you packed a= ll you will need and some of your food pack.)    *GOOD BYE MACIEJ ̵= 1; THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!  Train = DEPARTS at 6:30 PM.  We will all be in sleeper cabins &= #8211; 6 to a cabin.  Get settled, ch= oose your bed, change to shorts and go exploring with a chaperone or adult.  Find the restroom!  SNACK DINNER at 8:30 PM.  Get ready for bed by 9:30 PM.  Get some sleep – morning comes early!  LIGHTS OUT at 10:27 PM.  GOOD NIGHT!  How do you like Polish Trains?

SATURDAY, JULY 9TH – HAPPY BIRTHDAY MRS. MORENO! – GOOD MORNING 5:45 AM (Poland Time).  Get up and get dressed.  Pack your things and freshen up.  Turn your watch back 1 hour.  ARRIVE in Prague, Czech Republic at 6:33 AM.  Get off the train and help get luggage on the bus.  Pull western outfits from the hang= ing bags.  Then walk across the st= reet to Falkensteiner Hotel for BREAKFAST at 7:00 AM.  After breakfast, LOAD the bus around 8:00 AM for our sightseeing tour.  Rotate seating.  Stay Awake!!!  There may also be sometime for = SHOPPING!  LUNCH at Noon – somewhere in <= st1:place w:st=3D"on">Prague.  LOAD the bus and = DEPART by 1:30 PM for o= ur performance.  Get organized to change for the performance.  T= here is supposed to be a changing room.  Get off the bus, get dressed and perhaps rehearse.  PERFORM at 3:30 PM at St. John’s Beneath The Cliff Church.  We will be the opening group for a very well known folklore music group – “Hradistan”.  We w= ill stay briefly to hear part of their concert.  Then go change clothes for a hike = (25 minutes) to the top of the cliff to see the Holy Cross and then a guided to= ur of the Cave of St. Ivan.  After our climbing and hiking adve= nture, we may have time for some SHOPPING.  Then LOAD the bus at= 6:00 PM for our drive to our hotel.  CHECK-IN= to the Top Praha Hotel.  Leave everything in the lobby and go to DINNER at 7:00 PM.  After dinner, possible short swim or go to your rooms and take showers!  Yea!!!  Get ready for bed, take your hangi= ng bag to Joe or Mr. Covington, write in your diary, write your card or letter and= get ready for bed – early!  = LIGHTS OUT at 9:30 PM.  GOOD NIGHT!  Did you see any spelunkers in the cave?  Was it a fun day?<= /o:p>

SUNDAY, JULY 10TH – HAPPY BIRTHDAY BROOKE BORMANN!  Are you ready to go to the “Sound of Music” Country?  G= OOD MORNING 7:15 AM.  Get up, get dressed, finish packin= g, clean up your room, put your suitcase outside your door.  Bring everything with you to BREAKFAST at 8:00 AM.  After breakfast, go to the restroom.  LOAD = the bus and DEPART by 9:00 AM.  Rotate seating.  We will attend church somewhere and girls may perform – not confirmed.&n= bsp; Before and after church, there will be time for some sightseeing and maybe SHOPPING!  DEPART around 12:30 PM = for our journey to Salzburg= .  Be ready for another Border Crossi= ng and Passport Check.  PICNIC = LUNCH somewhere along the way around 1:30 PM.  Enjoy the sce= nery as we make our 5 hour drive to Salzburg.  F.O.B. for 1 hour.  Then DEVOTIONAL on t= he bus or if time, stop at a roadside park.  ARRIVE in Salzburg and CHECK-IN to Hotel= Berghof Graml around 5:30 PM.  Go to your rooms and take all your luggage.  Change clothes and c= ome back to the lobby for DINNER at 6:30 PM.  Bring everything with you.  After dinner, LOAD the bus for the Sound of Music Show at 8:00 PM.  After the show, return to the hote= l and go to your rooms.  Take shower= s, write your card or letter, write in your diary and get ready for bed.  WASH your clothes.  Jr. Chaperones = will bring you a snack.  LIGHTS OUT at 10:46 PM.  GOOD NIGHT!  Are the hills = alive with the sound of music?

MONDAY, JULY 11TH = 211; HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEBI!  WE LOVE = YOU!!! – GOOD MORNING 6:30 AM.  Get up, get dressed and straighten= your room.  Get ready for a “FUN” day!  Bring everything with you when you come to BREAKFAST at 7:15 AM.  Go to the restroom after breakfast= .  Give someone a “SMILE”= that needs one.  (From the TGC Offi= ce – Girls and Adults – please wish Debi a Happy Birthday for us!<= span style=3D'mso-spacerun:yes'>  Give her a huge hug from us back home!!!)  LOAD the bus and DEPART at 8:00 AM for our “Sound of Music” and Mozart sightseeing tour.  Rotate seating.  Our sightseeing will end at the Sa= lzburg Dome where we will PERFORM<= /b> at Noon.  Then LUNCH at a fast-food restaurant after the performance.  MEET and LOAD the bus at 2:00 PM and travel to the Eagle’s Nest, Berchtesga= den and finally the Salt Mine.  Yo= u will enjoy being a miner for the afternoon and exploring the salt mines.  LOAD the bus at 6:00 PM and return to Salzburg<= /st1:place>.  When we arrive at the hotel, go to= DINNER at 7:00 PM.  After dinner, take your things to your room.  You can have a choice to stay in y= our room, go bowling or explore around the hotel.  All back in rooms by 9:00 PM.  Take showers, pack, write your card or letter, write in your diary a= nd get ready for bed.  POSSIBLE P= IZZA PARTY AT 9:45 PM= .  Then return to your rooms.  LIGHTS OUT at 10:37 PM.  GOOD NIGHT!  Did you see a = lonely goatherd?

TUESDAY, JULY 12TH = 211; GOOD MORNING 6:45 AM.=   Get up, get dressed, clean your room, put your suitcase outside your door.  Leave your door propped= open to be checked.  Bring everythi= ng with you to BREAKFAST a= t 7:30 AM.  After breakfast, go to the restroo= m, then LOAD the bus to DEPART at 8:30 AM.=   Rotate seating.  We will leave charming Salzburg and drive to the ABBY OF MELK.  After a tour of the Abby, we will PERFORM in the BASILICA.  After the performance, we will find LUNCH= in the area around 12:15 PM= .  Be sure to go to the restroom after lunch, as we have a long ride ahead – 6 hours.  Great time to catch up on mail and= your diary.  (Tour report coming in= three days!)  Be ready, we will cros= s the border to Hungary and will probably have a passport check.&n= bsp; WELCOME TO BUDAPEST!  ARRIVE and CHECK-IN to the Hot= el Wien around 7:00 PM.  Help unload the bus.  Get your key and take all your thi= ngs to your room.  MEET in the lobby at 8:00 PM for DINNER.  After dinner, MEET in the lobby at 8:45 PM to go exploring.  When we get back, go to your room, take showers and get ready for bed.  MEET at 1= 0:00 PM for SHOW & TELL and= SNACKS.  Afterwards, all back to your rooms= and LIGHTS OUT at 11:10 PM.  GOOD NIGHT!  Have you figur= ed out which side of the Danube River is “Buda” and which is “= ;Pest”?

WEDNESDAY, JULY 13TH= –= ; GOOD MORNING 6:15 AM.  Get up, get dressed and clean your room.  Put your suitcase outsi= de your door.  Be sure you have everything.  Prop your door op= en so your room can be checked.  Bri= ng everything with you to BREAKFAS= T at 7:00 AM.  Go to the restroom after breakfast= .  LOAD the bus and DEPART at <= st1:time Hour=3D"8" Minute=3D"0" w:st=3D"on">8:00 AM for our Budapest sightseeing tour.  This is a really “neat” city!  Our sightseeing tour wi= ll end at the US Embassy of Budapest.  You will have a meeting with Ambassador Walker.  PERFORM for Ambassador Walker and h= is staff, then have refreshments.  Remember your manners!  After the performance, LOAD t= he bus for the City Center.  LUNCH at 12:15 PM at a= local fast-food restaurant.  After l= unch we will have time to enjoy the city and SHOP!  MEET and LOAD the bus at 2:30 PM.  We drive to the City of Godollo where we w= ill perform as part of an International Youth Festival.  The Vice Mayor of Godollo will be = at the performance.  Change clothes o= n the bus.  PERFORM at 3:40 PM.  After the performance we will= go with the other International Youth (High School and college age) to the LAZAR HORSE SHOW & DINNER<= /b> at 5:30 PM.  Try to meet some students from oth= er countries and enjoy a real “Hungarian” meal!  After the show, say “good-by= e” to your new friends.  BOARD the bus by 8:00 PM and settle in for o= ur 3 hour drive to Vienna.  We will cross the border into Austria.  SNACK & DRINK on the bus.  WELCOME TO VIENNA!!!!  ARRIVE and CHECK-IN to the Hot= el Donauzentrum-Wien.  Everyone h= elp unload the bus and get your luggage and go to your room quickly and quietly.  NO SHOWERS – unless you have= a good reason.  Get dressed and = go to bed.  LIGHTS OUT at 11:47 PM.  GOOD NIGHT!  How did you like those beautiful horses?  Hope you made a new f= riend!

THURSDAY, JULY 14TH<= /span> = 211; GOOD MORNING 7:00 AM.=   Get up, take showers, get dressed and straighten up your room.  Take everything you need for the d= ay when you go to BREAKFAST at 8:15 AM.  After breakfast, go to the restroom.  Then LOAD the bus by 8:50 AM.  *Today –= ; sit by someone not in your group that you don’t know very well!  Adults, split up too!  We will drive to the US Embassy in= Vienna.  Pass out hats on the bus.  Leave everything on the bus except= for your Texas souvenirs.  PERFORM at 10:00 AM for AMBASSADOR BROWN and his staff.  WOW – we have performed for 4 Ambassadors – how amazing!  You are so lucky!  After the performance – LOAD the bus and change clothes.  Then we will have a walking sightseeing tour of Vi= enna.  The tour will end at Kiarlskirche = where we will give a brief PERFORMANC= E.  After the performance, we will hav= e LUNCH in downtown Vienna.  After lunch, SHOPPING and enjoy this musical and enchanting city.  Return to the hotel by 5:00 PM.  Go to your rooms and PACK!  We go home tomorrow!  Take your hanging bag to Joe and M= r. Covington before dinner.  Go t= o DINNER at 7:00 PM.  After dinner, return to your rooms, take showers, finish your diary writing, write your last card or letter, and get ready for bed.  MEET at 9:10 PM for t= he TOUR TALENT SHOW & SNACKS<= /b>.  Before you go to the Talent Show, = you must be totally packet – suitcase by the door.  Afterwards, go quietly to your roo= m and go to bed (for a short time).  LIGHTS OUT at 10:20 PM.  GOOD NIGHT!  Did you hear a= waltz today?  Is Vienna really enchanting?

FRIDAY, JULY 15TH – Our last day together! – GREAT MORNING 3:45 AM.  Get up, get dressed, straighten your room.  Leave your door propped open for y= our last room check.  *Be sure you= have a TGC shirt, navy shorts and red or navy tennis shoes in your overnight bag.  Bring everything with yo= u and LOAD the bus to DEPART at 4:30 AM.  Sit with your buddie and group.  ARRIV= E at the airport at 5:30 AM.  Be sure to check the bus, all help= with luggage.  While checking in SNACK before your flight.  Go through security and BOARD Lufthansa Flight LH#3543 to DEPART at 7:30 AM for Frankfurt, Germany.  Flight time – 1 hour, 25 minutes.  SNACK BREAKFAS= T on the plane.  All must take a tray.  Good bye Austria!  ARRIVE in Frankfurt at 8:55 AM.  As we land, y= ou must be organized and ready, we only have one hour to make our next flight.  Get off and connect w= ith Lufthansa Flight LH#438 – DEPARTS at 9:55 AM.  Flight time – 10 hours, 45 minutes.  Settle in for a very long flight b= ack to Texas= .  After the seat belt sign goes off,= we will pass out the paper and pens for your tour report.  You need to do 13 pages and a cover sheet.  You can sleep some, th= en start your report.  Hope you k= ept a good diary!  You will have = LUNCH on the plane.  All must take a tray.  Hopefully, you will fin= ish your tour report quickly, and can spend the last part of the flight sleeping and getting ready to see your family.  *Adults, help fill out customs forms.  ARRIVE (hopefully) a= t 1:40 PMDFW Airport – Terminal B – Gate 33.  Parents check for any changes.  Call Lufthansa at 1-800-645-3880 or check the DFW website at www.dfwairport.com.  We will get off the plane – = get our luggage – then we have to clear customs - and then get ready to s= ee our families.  We will get off= the plane together and assemble to meet your families.  Please, no one go ahead of the group.  We will sing as we ent= er the lobby area.  You need to stay = with the group until Debi and Layne dismiss you.  Then:  HELLO MOM & DAD!!!  HELLO TEXAS!!!  HELLO HOME!!!  If your parents are not there = . . . see Debi immediately.  We had a great time, but we are glad to be back.&nb= sp; After greeting your parents, the last thing before you leave for home – CHECK OUT WITH YOUR CHAPERONE!  Mom & = Dad, take my overnight bag, fanny pack, souvenirs, suitcase and hanging bag . . . then check me out . . . . feed me my favorite Texas food . . .  take me home to my= own bed!!!  WELCOME HOME!
